We continue where we left off, pretending to be Jesus twittering to his tweets 140 characters at a time. Last time we made it through his first 5 messages – his birth, his trip down to Egypt and back, and his wandering in the wilderness. Today, we’ll take up his next 5, and to help keep track, we’ll continue numbering them 6 – 10.

6. My Tweets: My tweets are up to an even dozen now. That’s plenty. More than enough, probably. Too many and trouble is certain to ensue. I think I’ll call them Disciples, though. Sounds more official than tweets.

7. B-Attitudes: Funny thing, more and more people are starting to listen to me. Your salvation is all in here –inside - your state of mind – it’s all about being meek and merciful, peacemakers and pure at heart. Like children. Before they grow up. Seems obvious to me.

8. Spirit Law: Everybody’s so hung up on the rules. I come, not to overthrow the rules, but to fulfill them. It isn’t the letter of the law that matters. It’s the sprit!

9. Hypocrites: They bug me, especially religious ones. Don’t be so heavenly spiritual that you are no earthly good. If forced to choose faith vs. works, choose works. Do good. The rest will take care of itself.

10. Clarity of Vision: Why is it that we see the specks in our own neighbor’s eyes so clearly but don’t ever notice the logs in your own? Do not judge, lest you be judged. Forgive, that you may be forgiven.
